01 / SELECTED WORK
A few things I’m building and exploring.
Different layers of the same curiosity.
01 / SCIENTIFIC SOFTWARE
Making archived machine data easier to explore. A Python and Qt application built around interactive time-series plots and a clear separation between the interface and data access.
02 / ACCELERATOR CONTROLS
A focused C++ test server for generating random signals in the DOOCS control system, with Meson and Catch2.
03 / COMPILER RESEARCH
Exploring compiler approaches for AMD Versal platforms, connecting AI Engines, programmable logic, and processing systems.

02 / THE PERSON BEHIND THE CODE
I like working where software and hardware meet — and where understanding the system matters as much as writing the code.
My work has taken me from research at DFKI in Saarbrücken to High-Level Controls at DESY in Hamburg. Today, I’m working on PETRA IV software, with a focus on tools that help people access and understand accelerator data.
Alongside scientific software, I’m interested in compilers, heterogeneous computing, and FPGA-based image processing. The common thread is making complex ideas concrete, readable, and useful.

From a hardware constraint to a useful interface.
Always with clarity in mind.
Python, C++, Qt / PySide6, time-series visualization, and maintainable application architecture.
DOOCS, accelerator software, archive access, PostgreSQL, and clearly defined service interfaces.
FPGA platforms, AMD Versal AI Engines, compiler design, and image-processing research.
04 / KEEP THE CONVERSATION GOING
Scientific software, accelerator controls, or computing closer to the hardware — there’s plenty to talk about.
